Head info

What is the difference between a 89 351w fuel injection head and a 85 351ho w head???cc's etc???Thanks and great site.

is there any difference in the 35w ho head from 1985 and the 351w head on a 89 fuel injection engine?

Could be, need to know the casting number to be certain. There is a chance the 85 351w has E5TE heads and the 89 302 or 351w (you didn't specify doesn't really matter though) either would more likely than not have E7TE heads unless someone changed them. The E5 have 69cc chamber and the E7 have 64cc chambers otherwise they are the same head, except the head bolt holes are specific to either 351w or 302, either way you can make them work. If the 85 does not have E5 heads and is using another early 80's or late 70's production head, then the 89 model are better slightly as far as flow and hp/tq potential and in naturally aspirated applications the smaller cc chambers are desired somewhat.
