Throttle pedal question

I've got a 97 250 crew cab auto 4x4, the pedal has a slight hold to it when applying then it goes nice and easy. I don't really notice it much, but when someone else jumps in the truck it sounds like they are trying to rev a standard Is their any way of making the pedal, don't know exactly how to say it, maybe more touchy? So their isn't a lil bit of a hold to over come before it starts to go?

Yes, there is. Crawl under the dash with a flashlight and on the back side of the pedal you can see the throttle position switch, and the little metal tab on it that is causing the problem. If you very gently bend that tab down so that it breaks contact with the idle validation switch earlier it will get rid of most of the dead spot in the pedal.
