4x4 shift ****

anyone ever removed or is it even possible to replace the 4x4 shift **** on the handle. its on a 92 f-150

I just replaced a 4-speed shift **** on a '87 F250, because it was so loose. Your **** is probably engineered the same way as a press fit. You'll have to tap it evenly off from underneath.
