hesitation

my 95 powerstroke just started doing some weird stuff. it hestiates (like it flames out for a second) intermittently at around 1400rpm at light throttle and light load only in the first couple of gears, and sometimes it bogs below 2000rpm but at higher rpms it runs perfect. i changed the cam position sensor but nothing changed. any ideas? what shoiuld i check?

check fuel pressure, sounds like your pump is on its way out. Most auto parts stores should have the specs for the truck and i know autozone or advance auto parts will loan out the gauge for little cost.

i checked fuel pressure and its fluctuating betwwen 50-60psi, when i press the throttle it goes close to 80psi, i read the fuel pressure should be 40psi, is this correct? could this be my problem?
