Hi Guys: I was reading this thread and noticed the majority of concerns were with the sound proofing from the hood insulation. I'm not sure how hot a gas engine gets but on my 04/250 6.0L SD, that was built Dec.17/03, 2 days after Ford decontented the Super Duties, there is a slight paint discoloration on the hood near the turbo. This is with about 9000 miles on the truck. (mostly hauling) I would be more concerned with the paint, than with noise level. I have talked to Fords Lack of Customer Service Dept. and they just blew me off. Hope you guys have better luck.

There should be some seperation in model lines. If you remember, in the 80's and early 90's a headliner was an option. Now we complain about underhood insulation and a light that is not very useful to begin with. Stop complaining.
