I have a 97 F150 with 140,000 mi. It has aftermarket air filter and exhuast. But with that many miles it has lost its pep. What would be the best bang for the buck why to get some more POWER.
give it a good tune up if you havent already other than that you could try a chip or tuning system but some of those types of mods can be a little iffy on an engine with that many miles on it because most of the power mods make the engine work outside of the parameters the manufacturer set to find the balance between power and reliability all im saying is dont just slap on some sort of power mod without checking to see exactly what it does
I agree with mrwhite. Be wary of any mod that you put on it with that many miles, especialy fuel injectors or aftermarket pulley sets, Maybe you could try a aftermarket cold air intake(you mentioned just the air filter)
Thanks everyone. I allready gave it a good tune up and it runs great. I was just wondering if there was anything that I could do mainly because of the high mi. I plan on keeping it for a while. Like I said it does run very well.
