doing conversion to smf "luk" it says to torque pressure plate to 15-20 ft. pounds. guess what happened this morning ?? broke a pp bolt off in flywheel i can get the bolt out .lucky me . i have a snap on torque wrench . iam having calibrated or checked should be right has only been used on one rebuild. what is torque for pressure plate////?????? thanks for any help
pressure plate bolts are 15-18 ft lbs, just put my kit in a few days ago, get some left hand drill bits and see if you can work out the broken peice, or you may have to drill a hole in the broken bolt and use an extractor, good luck and get that torque wrench recalibrated and make sure the all the bolt holes are clean, and free of any debris, and it doesent hurt to put some oil or moly lube on the threads to assure a proper torque reading.
should use new bolts ,i do think when you got the kit the bolts come with as least mine did ,and i bought a luk single flywheel kit, however i notice it has a vibration to it now even if slight ,
don't understand which flywheel you are using. stock flywheels for desiels are what i've heard them called DUAL-MASS flywheels. let know if i'm anywhere close what u are talking about.

The LuK single mass flywheel is a very popular upgrade from the junk dual-mass flywheel that comes from the factory. I have a LuK in mine. Not only will it last longer than the dual-mass, the new flywheel and clutch together was less money than the flywheel alone from Ford.
