starters

i didn't know where to post a question so i'll do it here. i need to know if a starter out of a 5.0 will fit a 5.8 engine? and if not what the difference is?

They will interchange as long as the transmissions were the same. Some of the starters had three mount bolts, others only two. I can't remember which is which.

If they both have the same trannies i.e. standard or automatic they will interchange if they bolt up , the length of the nose is different between standard and auto.
