On your tailgate, the Rhino Dealer didnt take the plate off and spray it seprate from the rest of the bed. There is a plate on the tailgate that you take off to gain access to the latch assembly. Not if you latch brakes, you will have to drill/cut the Rhino lining to fix the latch.
There has been some posts in the past where guys say the bug deflector induced an air swirl over the hood, and resulted in the wipers chattering against the windshield. Do a search; I'm not sure if it was the high- or low-profile deflectors.
I do intend to get the mudflaps someday, hopefully before winter, to keep the slush off the step bars.
I know...but it was too late afterwards. This Rhino liner was a "Dealer Installed Part" and is warranted by the dealer via Ziebart. Sooo, if I ever have a prob with the tailgate, they will have to remove the liner and respray the tailgate (in my eyes)! I will settle for nothing less! But lets hope nothing goes wrong!
I can confirm the installation of even a low profile bug deflector will cause induced air to swirl over the hood. Not only your wipers will flap at highway speeds but what drove me nuts was the way the aluminum hood flapped up and down up by the windshield cowl. I took mine off and it all went away.
did you get the BugShield from Ford's site for $75. I just checked and it is listed at over $90. Anyone know where else to get one for the $75 area? Thanks
