Just got done installing Edelbrock shocks on my 99,what big difference in the ride! The rear shocks were very painfull to put on,but it was really worth. OK here's my question, on 99's there is recall/problem with the wipers turning on by themselves.Has anyone heard of the fix for this problem?
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 13-Dec-02 AT 08:32 AM (EST)]You will have to let us know how the Edls work out, everyone I have talked to that bought them, said they were great for the first couple months, but wore out real fast. I hope you have better luck with them.
I have never heard of a recall on the wipers for the '99 models, mine hesitate for a second or two sometimes when I turn them on, but no other problems so far.
I've been thinking about changing the shocks on my 99, do have any pointers on the changing the rear ones? I've looked at it, and can't figure out how they are attached at the top.
By the way, how many miles do you have on yours?
The rear shocks are secured by nuts to the mounting bracket. You HAVE to remove the spare tire to get any decent access to them. Trust me on this one. Remove the spare first and save yourself some time and cramped muscles.....
If you tow at all the best are the ranco 9000x. I just have them on the rear. Even though they are a little expensive the adjusting really help compensate for this.
