Smile General info

I bought what i think is a F250LD here is the VIN 2FTEF26N8HCA44173. It has a 302Fi according to the sticker on the air box.It has a 4 speed tranny 1rst being a kreeper.A 8 lug axel system with the rear being flush with the wheel.Leafs front and rear.Oh by the way its a 1987. I've read and re-read your post a couple of times. I have no idea what you're asking.

If you're asking if it's a LD truck, it sounds like it is. If the GVWR is over 8500, it is.

I rec.d the truck from a friend and havent got the title yet.Theres no info on the doors since there not the originals.I put the vin.# in just in case someone might have an idea.Thanks for getting back. Tony

carfax the VIN. that'll at least tell you how it was when it left the factory. what are you looking to find out?

Thanks.I do know what i have now since i got the title.I was thinking about swapping some parts from the LD to a 78 bronco with a auto trans,but to much work.So I will keep both trucks and work on them and maybe get pics for the gallery.Between trucks and my beull,dirt bikes and atv's this is going to be very expensive hobby.

That sounds like some coding your state uses to describe your type of truck, fuel system, or weight class. Might want to call your local motor vehicle dept.
