I'm looking for information on lowering a 92 explorer 4x4,
if it is possible. Not an extreme lowering job, just about a
2 inch drop for handling and looks. If anybody at all can
help me out or lead me in the right direction regarding this please do.
Your going in the wrong direction, you lift 4x4 and lower 2x4. But that is just my personal opion.
Now for the techincal information. The early explorers are hard to chage the height in either direction and still keep the front end allined. The twin I beam setup swings the tire in an arc. This causes the tires camber to change as the tire moves. Any explorer made in 95 and after is very easy to do.
