Thanks. So now i'm looking for the Solenoid. Amazon has that valve listed as a solenoid.

EVAP System

I have a P1443 on my 97 Ranger 2.3L. I have tested the sensor and it is in the normal range, the valve is working, tested it with 12v applied, but has a small leak past the valve, what can I do to clean the gunk out of the valve so it will seal correctly making the P1443 code go away, need to pass emissions so I can register the truck.
