Basic Tire Size Question

I just got a 78 F150 4X4. It has 33 off-road inch tires on 15 inch rims. I would like to get a street tire that is closer to the original size. The door tag says they were L78 X15. What Metric size should I look for? Also the rims are the white "wagon spoked" type. Are these the originals? This is my first truck so I have lots of questions

that probably had something around a 235/75r15 on it stock with 15x7 rims .. the white wagon wheels are not stock.

Maybe he never takes it offroad or anything... Just because you don't like one thing a certain way doesn't mean everyone else should be the same.

He was only asking a question about tire size.. he never asked for any opinions on whether to keep them or not.
