I have recently had the rear (stock) air shocks replaced on my 95 Limited Explorer, and at the time, the techs said I should replace the sway bar bushings. I opted to take care of this myself, but cannot find replacements. I figured while I was replacing it, I might as well do an upgrade, put on some polyurethane bushings, or a whole new sway bar. The problem is that I can't find anywhere they are sold. I have found part numbers from energy suspension, but once again, cannot find a vendor........I realy need to get rid of the side to side tossing soon.

I bought mine from Steeda. I believe they sell the bushings also, but not quite sure. I know of another place to get thm, just have to find the link. I will post it in a few minutes when I remember it...
Thank you Cobra, I can't count the hours I spent on searching on-line and getting distracted. It's so easy to be distracted when you aren't finding what you are looking for.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 19-Dec-02 AT 12:58 PM (EST)]Peformance products carries Adco swaybars. They are $129.95 (rear) & $157.95 (front). They include polyurethane bushings. The front bar also includes the end links with bushings but the rear bar doesn't include the end links, only the bushings that hold it to the rear axle. If you go with the Adco bars, I would also get the Energy Suspensions rear swaybar kit for the polyurethane bushings for the endlinks. I thought that I got my ES bushings from either Performance Products or Explorer Express but I couldn't find them anymore. Try going to Energy Suspension's web-site and sending them an e-mail on where you can purchase them (www.energysuspenion.com). The front ES part # is 4.5152 and the rear is 4.5153. Most local 4x4 shops should also be able to order them for you since most carry ES parts.
You can get them from www.cyberauto.com:
Energy Suspension Bushings:
98
Complete Front Sway Bar Bushing Set, 34mm, 4-5155, $30.92
95-97
Complete Front Sway Bar Bushing Set, 36mm, 4-5152, $30.92
Complete Rear Sway Bar Bushing Set, 4-5153, $17.96
Once again, thank you both for the info. Has anyone installed a particular brand front and back that noticed a huge difference in handling? Will pretty much any aftermarket kit be a big improvement? And are there any of the bars or kits listed that seemed to outshine the competition? I just want to be sure that if I drop close to $300 that I am getting the best quality for my money....

My '97 4x4 Sport with 3" body lift, 2" suspension lift and 32" tires handles significantly better than it did when it was stock with 30" tires thanks to my Adco bars. The Explorer Express and Adco front bars are the same diameter. The EE rear bar is 1/8" thicker than the Adco bar.
