I own a 04 F250 CC Lariat FX4 auto with the six-oh and an 04 F550 XLT 6 speed with the six-oh. ZERO problems with either. I've had an awesome time with both. I've never looked back. Well maybe just to see the look on the face of the guy in the Dodge Ram with a Hemi as I pull away.

I felt the same way as you did when I first started looking for a new truck. I got discouraged after seeing all the initial complaints from some of the owners. But after doing much checking and listening I went ahead and ordered a 04 PSD. I have had the truck only 3 weeks but it is by far the best truck I have ever driven or been in!
You could have problems with any vehicle and you are only hearing complaints from a low percentage of owners who have had problems. There are a huge percentage more owners out there with absolutely no problems. Good luck with your decision. I know I'm very happy with the one I made!

my truck is about a month old and I love it. engine build date is 04/04. F250 cc fx4 with the short bed. I have about 1200 miles on it so far and I just installed the edge jice with attitude monitor. so far it works great. I think you'll be happy with the 6.0 psd. I am

I own one, pull a very big trailer with it, and love it, no major problems AT ALL...none..............and did I mention, I supposedly have one of he "bad" ones an 03/03.

I just bought a new 04 F250 Fx4 PSD 6.0 Lariet Super Cab build date 3/10/04 and I absolutely love this truck! I was afraid more of the 05 and the changes that come with it in the front end. Maybe better, just didn't want to take the chance.
