Under hard acceleration with my 04/04 6.0 liter X I get a rumble from the drivetrain. Seems to happen both from a stop and while on the fly. This is hard acceleration almost WOT. Rumble is not severe but definitely noticable once you feel it for the first time and are aware of it.

Truck is 100% stock and unloaded.

I am wondering if this is unique to my truck. I suspect that anyone that doesn't put the pedal to the floor on occasion would never even know that their truck has this condition. I did notice this same rumble in an 04/03 6.0 X that I test drove.

I am looking for any comments or ideas as I hope to sort this out without my dealer's help. Other than this condition my truck is running great and I do not want to chance that they screw up something else.

I am planning an Edge 4.5" lift with some 34's but want to sort this rumble issue out first.

BUMP - Kicked this back up to try to get some feedback.

If no one else is having this problem I'll go to my dealer and ask to drive a couple of new ones to see if they have it too. If I find this rumble is common to these beasts I will deal with it on my own or just live with it. Don't want to take an otherwise great running truck to the dealer for a problem they will tell me does not exist or is normal and end up with a flashed problem truck.

sound like your over reving the engine,and the diff. is not fast enough to rotate the wheel. i notice that last time i got stuck in the sand.
