My bookmarks transfered over automatically. Eric, do you use the regular Mozilla browser, or do you use Firefox? -TD

OK, I was wondering 'cause Firefox seems really streamlined, doesn't have a lot of features from what I can see. Maybe I'll give Mozilla a try. Firefox does load fast, though. -TD

FYI:

Just to let all mozilla and firefox users (on windows only) know, there is a vulnerability and a patch.

http://software.newsforge.com/article.pl?sid=04/07/08/2327246&mode=nested&tid=78&tid=82

Even if you don't get this patch you're probably still safer using mozilla or firefox over using IE because most hackers target IE for the same reason they target Windows over linux (to get at a larger group of users).

Also that hole will not apply to those of us on Macs
Unix also falls under this as well.
I use safari but I am running OSX Panther which is Unix based.

Somewhere on this site are warnings about MS users and why they should change to mozilla.

Kinda in a hurry to find my dogs (again) or I would look it up myself and post it.

Good for you Dennis!

I have FireFox on my machine, there are some things it does better than Mozilla and some things it does not do as well. I am using both tho.

Mozilla loads faster due to the fact that some of it is memory resident.
Mozilla handles multiple logins for the same site better (webmail).
FireFox allows multiple tabs (sites) to load automatically on startup.
Firefox will not display the main forum listing here correctly, I end up with a scroll bar for the width.

The government is urging people to switch to anything besides IE.

There is a RARE security patch for Mozilla, Firefox, etc here:

Thanks for the tip Torque1st. I just got the patch. I haven't proven it yet but I seem to get faster downloads with firefox. FTE looks the same as it did with Netscape.

If you want a simple to install spelling checker for Firefox try this one.

http://www.exchangecode.com/spellbound/

It has been working great for me in FireFox.

I copy-past text into this one for the forums here with Mozilla:

If you just want a web browser then I would say firefox. If you want web browsing plus email, html editing, irc chat, etc... then get mozilla.

I just use firefox. I use other applications for email and html editing.
