powerstroke auto transmission problem
97 f350 e40d tranny when driving along and turning on your lights or turn siginals the tranny comes out of lockup or when using cruise control and doing the same things it comes out of cruise . i'm thinking a bad ground. does anyone have any ideas thanks for your time

Burned out brake light bulb and also I had a 3rd brake light for a fiberglass cap that was spliced into the brake light wiring harness...every time it got wet and I tapped the brakes it would shift out of O/D...I respliced it and shrink wrapped all connections and the problem went away.

hi guys i'm new to this so i hope you see this message thanks alot ,i will check the bulbs and see if there are any splices in the harness. before i saw your posts i seem to have developed another problem. my tranny seems to be hunting for a gear and goes into neutral and and back to another gear. at home and tried to restart it, it wouldn't even turn over so i jumped the starter relay and it fired up .i put my scanner on and i got a code saying not in park or neutral. i am assuming my manual lever position sensor is faulty but could anyone tell me if they think my two problems could be caused by the same thing. i am going to put on a spare mlps. that i have but am unsure of how to get it lined up so that my shifting problem doesn't get worse and i screw up my tranny. any advice would be greatly appreciated i will wait to see if i get any posts before i attempt this
