suicides

I wish to do a suicide on my 1984 f-150. I need to know where to get started and any comments would help greatly. Also , my tie rods need replacing, but im not sure where to go for them. I can get the expensive 100 dollar ones or i found some for 20 at a discount site. Will these be sufficient or should i head down to my local junkyard to find some to fit?

I would not put tie rods from the junkyard on my truck. Just go to any auto parts store and they should have them in stock. Just make sure the replacements have grease fittings on them. Moog is a good aftermarket brand

I agree. If you use a used tie rod, your truck may end up in the ditch doing 70 MPH or hit someone else if they fail. You will not have any control. Loose tie rods are grounds for failure of a Motor Vehicle Inspection in those state that still require inspection.

thanks for the info with the tie rods. I have debated and have decided to go new. Sounds like a better choice. I have put myself in a ditch with my old car and do not want that to happen again. But does anyone have any info on suiciding the doors on an older truck. Thanks again
