Heres my best advice. Dont let a corporate business sell you a brake job. Find a small reputable mechanic in your town. He's likely to give you the most honest work.
Watch for the famous stuck caliper sell. I had a guy tell me both calipers were stuck. Would need replaced. $1200 brake job, and he had only taken off one wheel.
I took it to a small business owner. He smacked the stuck caliper with a hammer, no more stuck. The other caliper that the guy hadnt actually checked came right off. I went from a $1200 brake job to a $50 brake job. I'll take a $1,150 discount anyday.
Oh, if they say the rotors are maxed out and need replaced. Ask to see the measurement, and the books recomendation that they be replaced at that measurement.

A good brake job of turning rotors and drums with new pads and shoes would cost about $250 at a Ford dealer ($10 turning each wheel = $40 - new pads+shoes $30 - hardware kit $12 two hours labor $60 x 2). Plus tax and misc costs.

I would have all the brakes bleed and new fluid put in. So, if you are not doing this yourself, hope for $250, but, put aside $400.

Unless you like wasting money and getting ripped off, bring it to a Ford dealer that is blue oval certified. If you bring it to a muffler shop or something such as that, expect a moron and thief to work on it.

Of course, if you did it yourself, what you get charged in labor could be new rotors and drums instead of turned.

it all depends on what it needs, if it needs pads and rotarts turned it will be cheap, if you need new pads, rotars, shoes, drums, hardware, wheel cylinders, calipers and flex hoses your lookin at some big bucks. dont buy the parts at a local parts store and ask the shop to put them on, shops absolutly hate that and will not warenty the work. its like bringing your own steak to a fancy restraunt and asking the waiter to cook it. just go to a small shop that has a good reputatition and you should be fine

is there any reason you can't do it yourself? I just had to do a complete rebuild of the front and rear on a ford van. Calipers, rotors, flexible lines, rear cylinders pads, shoes etc. the dealership wanted $1500. $800 of that was labor. I got the parts (including new shocks) for $300 and did it my self in a little over 6 hours. Just my 2 cents
