Are you sure you don't have anything else done to your truck?? My 7.3 is fast with all my mods but without having gotten a 1/4mi slip, I can only assume maybe a high 14 to low 15. The reason I ask is due to the consideration that my brothers 02 Camaro SS with every SLP option you can get from the manufacturer runs a low to mid 12, which is not great by drag standards, but its a mass produced muscle car with little modification. Its hard to imagine a truck the size and dimensions of ours running just a few car lengths behind his SS? Again, I post this with respect, and am just curious if there is something about your truck you are not sharing. I knew the 6.0 were quicker than the 7.3's, but that quick??
Big Dave,

No problems man I didnt believe it at first either. When i first ran the truck i ran a 15.7 that was stock with the exhaust removed after the cat and no filter. Then in january i bought the edge with attitude module. And these numbers are right from my time slip that i still have among others all in the 13.7-14.0 range.
r/t -.388
60 -1.776
330 -5.519
1/8 -8.685
Mph -77.63
1000 -11.424
1/4 13.754
Mph 95.38

When i got my time slip with my buddy sitting next to me i about fell out of the truck i figured mid to low 14's.
You, Me and every person i pull up next to and woop up on are shocked
I have been extreamly impressed and satisfied with this truck.

Hope this clears it up for ya!

I gotta put in my two cents worth here. When we first got our 03 it was bad bad fast. No speed limiter (went well past the 100 on speedo) no chip--nothing. 70-90 would run over anything I got up against. Used to **** in the cheerio's of lots and lots of those rice rockets and one or two lightnings. Talk about tongues hanging out!!!!

Fastf350 All of these guys that have other programmers always question what the juice can do. I have tried the programmers and they can't do what the edge can do. The only reason why I would have a programmer is to use them stacked, and for the tranny programming. Edge rocks...

I tried to stack it just for that reason. The problem is the trans program is only loaded in with the hp setting not the factory tune. And if you call up diablo sport and ask them the will guess and say that the trans line pressure should be increase when you load the factory tune with the speed limiter off. Direct from Willie's mouth. And trust me it doesn't. I also asked for a custom tune just for the trans i.e send me a file with the same trans programing for the100hp setting and not the hp. i problally would have kept it if they could have been more accomidating. I was also told that they could do custom programs now just choose not to. And that the reason for all the options not being there now is due to the rush to get it on the market. And this is direct from their lips.
I will wait for the fully controlable trans mod!

FastF350,

Thanks for the reply, I guess I thought these big trucks should't be that fast. Congratulations, sounds like you got a good set up. Bad thing is now, I think I wanna get a slip for my old 7.3, based on your 1/8 mph @ 8.6 seconds, I'm in that ball park without the propane. I don't have a slip, but she does a consistant low 8's (0-60). Of course thats me with the stopwatch so who really knows. I guess I'll try the 4 wheel high method as well. Again thanks and be proud of your stroker!!!!

Question

I am just wondering if some of you have noticed that the 03s when they are running (I havent had any troubles yet) seem to have more power than the 04's. My brother in law has the same set up that mine has and he can't keep up with me he has taken it in to Ford and they tell him it is perfect and that some just run better than others. I think it may have to do with his only having around 8000 miles and maybe it will run better when he gets more miles on it. I have 17000 miles on mine and it was one of the very first ones built 11/02 and his is an 2/04 does any of this make sence?

My first F250 had a production date of 12/02 -- It was bad bad fast until it started to have ALL the problems and they reflashed it--it was like driving my 77 T/A that had a 400hp--slam you back in the seat when you punched it. The 03 is gone because of too many motor problems ford couldn't or wouldn't fix--my 04 is better but doesn't have the punch the 03 did by any means. The predator should fix that--I'll let you know in a couple of days

Mine is an 04...built 04/04. Just turned 1K miles and I jumped on it last night. It does have some ***** but I was not too impressed. Every moter I've ever had never seemed to wake up 'till around 5K miles so we'll see how it progresses. I do think it is running very lean as the exhaust leak I have smells like it is and there is absolutly no smoke whatsoever.

The 6.0s with a predator are that much faster than the 7.3. The 4 valve heads are the difference.

You ever run yours on a dyno? My last dyno sheet is on my gallery. Lots of witnesses, even one on this Forum.

You probably should have talked to another Willie. The last download from Diablosport.com included a program with the stock tune + the trans mods.
