Rail System Accessory

Does anyone know a site that sales aftermarket accessories as promised in the article?

Thanks,

TAMC

"The brushed aluminum rail system is integrated into the headliner and extends from behind the rearview mirror to behind the second row of seats. The forward end of the rail features a dome light console and a large storage bin module.

The system - with integral power supply - allows owners to easily snap in additional modules, such as first aid kits, toolboxes, flashlights and two-way radio holders as they become available from Ford or the aftermarket."

I agree that some of the current modules are not the most exciting (tissue holder, and sunglass bins) Others that are currenly available include CD case holders, Power inverter, mini snakelights, first aid kit, PDA & cell phone holder,
in 05 a charging module with two motorola radios will be available. Integrated DVD is also available.

but Please search under my posts to see what is coming in the future. other electronic features are in the pipeline, under development. I am keeping the board posted of future products and progress..

Ford accessories is where to get the current modules. we will be adding others through Ford and also afermarket distributions.

thanks for the interest

Well, for my existing bin (the one that comes with the truck), I bought a CD case at Target for $3.99. It fits pretty snug, but it fits, and holds 20 CD's. The cool thing was, they have them in black, grey, or tan, so there's one for every interior color scheme in the F150. I got the tan one. Whole lot cheaper than ordering a kit from ford.

I noticed you work for Johnson Controls, do you know Gordon Miller?

Also I noticed on the new GM minivans they have the rail system as well. Is this the exact same as Fords, meaning the accessories would be interchangeable?
