1995 Ford Explorer starting problem question.
Hello,
1995 Explorer with 104,000 miles, 6 cyl, well maintained in great condition. Vehicle is stored outside. Whenever it rains or snows this vehicle will crank and crank, but will not catch and start. After a few days of dry weather it will fire right up. Otherwise it runs excellent. Prior to me purchasing this vehicle, it was always stored in a a heated garage. I appreciate any advice or diagnosis of this problem. Thank You

1995 Ford Explorer starting problem question.
Is the fuel pump running? You should be able to listen for the slight whinning sound when it comes on. My '95 had an intermittent problem with pump not always coming on. After numerous tries it always would and then no problem until I stopped. Didn't get to the problem for several weeks and it mysteriously went away. Good luck, ROY:-)
