Timing Chain Question
Hi, pulled my timing chain cover to replace a front seal that was leaking, and noticed that my timing chain had a fair amount of slack in it. Called around town, and prices seemed to be all over the place. Checked E-Bay and found a couple, one being a " Pro Gear True Roller ". Any body familular with these? I had a Dyna Gear chain and sprockets on it, but considering how few miles are on it, I was supprised to see how much slack was in it. Are JUST timing chains still available to use with your existing sprockets? I have the stock gears, and a double roller setup from an FT motor, if just the chains are still available. What do you Guys think. Thanks, Al

the dynagear timing chains are junk. it doesn't matter what type it was ! i would get a cloyes, edelbrock, comp cams. i never heard of progear true roller? its better to get a good chain now then have to replace it down the road. i don't think they sell just chains.
