Tight timing chain removal

Anyone have tricks/tips suggestions on removing upper sprocket from cam when the chain is super tight. The upper and lower sprockets will not come off together due to the lower being an interference (tight) fit to the crank. Usually you can take out the cam bolt and drop off the upper sprocket, but as I try and slip the sprocket off the cam the little bit of slack that is in the chain tightens up as the angle of the chain in effect tightens the chain further. Not sure If i can get a 3 jaw pulley around the bottom sprocket with the chain still on. Chain is a new FMS double roller.

Thanks!
