i was looking for coilovers to go all around on my 55, i needed something that will fit with half the leaf springs removed for a short stack lower job. so i measure right. then i need to find something 12-14 inches. i go to my 93 sitting there, measure the front shock, perfect except for i need to make mounting brackets for the stud type mount, no biggie with a welder and some scrap. i found a set of load carrier coilover shocks for the front of my f150 on ebay. got 4 of them delivered to my door for $70. they are gabriel 32057. then i got one that was packaged wrong, it was the eye to eye i was looking for in the correct length, but unfortunately i dont know what it goes to yet, i will let you know when i do because it is even more perfect. it seemed to me if i got shocks in the ball park of what of needed, i will make them work, oh yea, the bushing needs to be removed on the lower mount, then the stud lightly heated and the shock put on using a oversize socket to hammer it on. hope this gets ya thinking before blowing $$$ on fancy coilovers, i cant adjust them once i decide on where i am putting the brackets, but i have enough things to putz with besides.....lol.....
i found out what the shock fit. it is a eye to eye coilover about 13-15 inches or so, i can measure it to be sure if you want.

be sure to look for the guys at fruitridgeautomotive on ebay, they let me keep the shock and am sending another one to make my set match. they gave A++++ service. and after i won a first auction they sold me a second set at min price in addition wth no additional auctions. just look up gabriel coilovers to see what they are peddaling. if i wasnt totally pleased i wouldnt be so excited to tell y'all.

Friuitridge is the same place I got my shocks for my Volare front. When I figure out what kind of shocks I need for the rear I'm going back there...
