I think this is one the worst ways to acheive better flow or a louder sound. The exhaust runs through a 2.5 inch pipe then through a empty canister and back into a 2.5 inch pipe, this is what creates that noise that sounds like a tank. it also creates a popping noise under deacceleration. though it is something that most people do and dont know it hurts the performance and flow.
i actually compleatly removed it and replaced it with a pipe, therefore, there is less turblance, although, its much harder to get a sticker, i know that some people go through the hassle of actually putting a pipe through the gutted cat and welding it, but unfortunatly, i have to suffer with the turbulance in the front cat, do to the fact that i cannot replace it with a new one, (under 400 bucks) and cannot put a pipe in its place due to the shape and angles of the pipes.
