what's an 86 crew cab dually worth?
I am getting ready to put my truck up for sale, and was wondering what it's worth. If you look at Kelley blue book, I know that does not reflect the market price, they are way low. My truck has 109k miles, new jasper 460, 3k on new c6, 10k on new tires. Also 3k on the following new parts- radiator, carb, edlebrock intake, water pump, all silicone heater hoses, brakes, rotors, flowmasters, shocks, distributor, coil, starter and alternator, module, most of the relays. No this truck did not have an electrical fire, but when I got it, it had some jury rigging, and I put it back original, also went completely through the truck to to be sure since I pull horses with it. It has running boards, captain's chairs, cab extender, bed cap rails, towing package with gooseneck hitch. Cruise, tilt, A/C ( it works!) Also have factory tach added. Paint is faded, has a few small dents here and there, wouldn't be a major undertaking to paint it, no rust. Also has the 10,000 GVWR, and is fatory non catalyst ( no catalytic convertors) Here in NC, it only has to pass the visual because of the GVWR, and we do emissions inspect. I am thinking about $5900, any opinions? Don't anyone panick, i am buying another Ford. This is a great driving truck that has been gone through, and I kind of like it faded, people get out of your way!

Thanks guys, I was leaning towards $6000 also, esp. with all the new parts on it. Only reason I am selling, I found a 95 supercab dually, diesel, auto, xlt. $4000 worth of chrome on it, 50k miles, and has never seen a mountain, used to pull a travel trailer to the beach and back. Owner died, I know his son through work. He was a stickler for maintenance, not a mark on the truck anywhere. I am paying what I would call high retail for it, but retail does not include the turbo wing, stainless running boards, aluminumwheels, etc, and I don't think they give enough credit for the low miles either. I may be apying a little high for it, but I want it and if I don't buy it some one else will. Not too many used trucks out there that I would trust. Don't know how they have been maintained and treated. I would trust this truck to go to CA and back, that's worth it's weight in gold! HOWEVER, I just got my 86 right! Now I guess some one else gets to reap the rewards of the 6 months I spent working on it. But it'll be nice to not have to work on something all the time!
