Assuming this narrowed 9" is for your 67, why does it need to be a narrowed 9" ?

There are plenty other 9" rear ends that fit your 67 F100 from a width perspective. Go into the 48-60 F100 forum. Look at the first few notes near the top of the forum. One deals with 9" and 8.8" rear ends for the 48 - 60 F1/F100 which is the same width stock as the 57 to 72 F100s.

Check out the thread I mentioned, it has rear ends that are a little narrower and little wider as well.

Are you trying to use an existing set of wheels or will you be ordering new wheels? Cause, you can order with different offsets to enable wider tires inside your fender wells.......

Almost any 60s to 70s Ford car will have between 52-54 inches. Your truck is 57.

The leaf spring pads are on the bottom of a car axle housing and a truck has them on top. I am pretty sure the car pads will be narrow so as long as the truck spring width will clear the drums just weld new ones on. I also believe trucks have an offset to the center section?

The thread I referred to you is closed -

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...d.php?t=243194

All that means is you can't add replies to it. We did that, because it's purpose is to serve as a sort of "mini-tech article" without having to wait for the long time it takes to get tech articles posted. Plus while the info is useful for trucks up to 1972, it is primarily intended for the 48 - 60s which is why it's in that forum.

You can certainly open the thread to read it. If you want to debate/question/argue points made in the artilce, you can do so in the 48-60 forum by starting a new thread, or going to the thread referred to at the bottom of the thread or by continuing your thread here.

If you're ordering new wheels, you can simply specify the width and offset you need for your particular application. If you don't know how to calculate your offset, then go to the website for Stockton Wheels as I'm told they have a good guide there to walk you through the process.

Regards,
