Losing Vent Setting
Under power, I lose my vent setting on my 1992 E150.
It changes to defrost on it's own. When I return to idle or coast it returns to original setting.
Any clues?

Check the vacuum lines, and the vacuum canister... You're losing vacuum under load.

Vac cannister was removed. One behind washer fluid. Air tight.
Routing hoses looked good. vacuum OK except for one. Probably my culprit.
Short of taking apart the dash, is there anyone with this experience and can point me to the problem.
Thanks

Hi,
There is a removable panel on top of the dash, (kind of looks like a blank for a radio speaker) under it you can get to alot of the vacuum hoses and motors. Hope this can help,
Bob
