Firewall reinforcement kit

I need to know if anyone has had the firewall kit installed in their truck ? Does it go inside or outside ? How about the adjustable pushrod for the clutch master ? I will be changing my clutch soon and would like to upgrade everything at once if it hadn't been done already.
