I spend 4 hours last night at my dealers service department while they were trying to fix this problem. Now they want me to come back next week. I don't have much hope that a solution will be found next week. Just more wasted time.
Just heard from my dealer and mine is supposedly finished. According to them the front right tire was low on air and very out of balance. We shall see when I pick it up tonight. I made sure that they road tested it at 70mph, which they said they did.
Mine will be going under the knife for a new steering gear on Monday. It was built after 8/03 which is the cutoff for the bad steering gear. Mine is going back for the 3rd time on Tuesday. I am going to a different dealer since my original dealer did not have a Hunter GSP 9700 for road force balancing. The original dealer just rebalanced the tires. I plan on putting new tires on my truck but I am not changing out the stockers until this issue is resolved.
I had this problem for the first 10,000 miles until I had the wheels ballanced. I tried an alignment after I had my daystar installed first and that did not work. Rides smooth as silk now.
what kind of tires and what air pressure are you guys running....I just checked the pressure in my tires, two fronts 38lbs, one rear has 40 the other 35. As soon as i get off work, I will fix that, with about 40lbs in all 4...Crossing my fingers
