F-150 Headunit Wiring
Im posting here for my father,
I just installed a new stereo into my explorer and put my old cd/radio/mp3 into my dads 1995 f-150 but i had no idea what to do when all the wires were of different colors, non matched and there were 3 extra wires. I installed the speaker wires "blind" and hooked up the power/ground etc. The stereo comes on but everytime I turn the truck off and the back on everything is reset and it comes up to "CD Player". Help me out please, thanks a lot.

You don't have both power wires hooked up. One is for memory (battery- hot at all times) and switched. Go to www.installdr.com to get color codes.
