Transmission Problem - I need help
I have a 1995 1 ton Ford Crewcab Duley, with a 7.3 powerstroke diesel, with a E40D electronic shift diesel equipt transmission. When it shifts from 1st gear to 2nd, it will run about 4 feet in 2nd gear, then downshift into first wihile sill in 2nd gear. If you let off the throttle, it will shift out of 2nd gear back into 1st immediately. If you press down on the throttle again, it will shift into 2nd and start the same process again.. What can be causing the problem? Transmission has just been rebuilt 1/23/00. Transmission worked fine for two days before the problem developed. I need help!

try disconnecting the battery cables and then re-connecting them and then go for a 10 minute drive to let the trans re-learn your driving style. if this does not work then you have a trans or computer problem.
