No 335-series (351C/351M/400) cylinder heads have "smog fittings" on the head.
When AIR was introduced on the 351C and 400 (in MY1973 in CA), the external AIR ports were drilled through the intake manifold at the rear, and the incoming AIR ports on the cylinder heads were drilled in the intake manifold face, at both ends of the head (making them interchangeable from side to side).
When the 400 (and 351M) intake was redesigned to incorporate the AIR distribution passage within the manifold in MY1975, the new manifold design used the same AIR ports drilled into the cylinder heads, but at the front of the engine instead of at the rear.
