Certainly the 300 6 cylinder has quite a reputation for reliability and torque. If you are going to the trouble to swap things out I would only consider the 351W. It is by far the easiest and most popular around to make torque and hp. I would not have much good to say about the 351M/400 having owned one years ago, although in all fairness, I had no trouble with it. If the 6 is doing OK why are you switching? The C and M motors are not worth the effort if you want ease and reliable torque. In fact, the 6 banger you have in may be the best bet yet. Have you really factored in what you want from this swap? Having done engine swaps in the past, I can tell you, be ready for a lot of work and unexpected problems.

Go with the 351W, you won't be disappointed, especially if it is going in your 92. It's an easy swap, and you won't have to make anything fit, you should be able to find any mount or braket that you need in a junkyard.

I personally like the cleveland best performance wise, but the windsor will be the easiest on your budget. If your going the MOD route, I'd go with the 400, the 351 mod has seemed to be a gas guzzling pig in all of the applications I have seen.

the 400 m build up article is on this site in the techical articles section it is a good read. I had the 351 m in my 77 f250 and it had lots of power. The 351m and 400m are the same blocks and heads, and intakes, (put a 400 crank rods, and pistons in the 351 m makes it a 400 cube monster with tons of torque. The heads will interchange from a 351c to a 400m/ 351m motor.

I agree the 351w is indeed the easiest option for a bronco setup, I have heard great reviews of 351w heads on a 302 block (lil opening of cooling passages required) Too bad it didnt have a 302 in it then i'd suggest putting a 351w crank in it with the 351w heads and make a 347 stroker motor. SWEET.

My favourite motor for performance/ fuel savings in the old trucks was the 390 (stroked 352) had gobs of power and decent gas mileage. My 351m was a pig on gas, passing everything but a gas station.

Sorry i kinda ran off topic
G'day
