X-monitor is very nice. A bit pricey but it works well, and leaves the grab-bar in place (which my wife insisted on). Instulation directions could be better.
Looking into purchasing gauges for the A pillar Boost Gauge Trans,Temp and EGT. Do they make digitial gauges and if so are they better than the regualar guages. These gauges will go on a 2004 F250 6.0 PSD Automatic 4x4. Any pros cons on it?
Check out spa desighns. they make a digital gauge that has boost and egt all in one. i have one and love it. they are spendy though about 350.00.

beware of the X-monitor i had one for a while on my 99 f-250 4x4 psd automatic and did not know, nor did bd that i was sent one for a manual trans. after my trany melted mostly do to me watching an incorrect temp guage and they determined it was the wrong sending unit or calibrated for the rear axle temp sender. this was a long ugly story, bottom line they gave NO support, backup, or liability. i would never purchase any thing from a company that sells a product for your protection and doesnot care that the product did not work. yes it is cute almost like its not there, oh ye it wasn't.
I've received pretty good support on my X-Monitor. They had just completed a new software version to support the '03 6.0 which was what I ordered, but I was mistakenly shipped a unit that wasn't programmed properly.
I noticed that the trans temp at initial start up in the morning did not match the outside ambient temp displayed on my overhead. I gave them a call and talked to one of their techs who was quite helpful. After determining the issue they gave me a RA number and had me return the unit for reprogramming. A short while later the unit was returned and seems to be working just fine.
Brad, when your tranny was burning up didn't the factory in dash gauge ever move off the mid point and into the hot range? Just curious.
