I stopped off at Pep Boys to get a few things (no digitial multi-meter yet), anyways, I was wondering if anyone has ordered the "Kool-Vue" near OEM replacement headlamp cover and any remarks on it.
This is to replace the stained yellow ones. I know someone else earlier asked about replacing the "booger ones", but could not find the thread. The plastic itself is just getting old and discolored, so no matter how hard you scrub it, it will remain yellow, like the battery's going dead.
In my rush, I didn't get a chance to ask the clerk for prices, but the sample unit was the nice clear one. It appeared it could be about $35 each.
All the plastic headlamp housings will turn yellow and hazy eventually. Is this Kool Vue just the front lens or a complete lens and reflector? If the latter, $35 is a lot cheaper than from Ford. I'm surprised that someone makes such a thing for Aerostars.
