Help with Kenwood DDX7015 install in 2004
I’m trying to install the kenwood DDX7015 and I need a dash kit, steering wheel control and wiring harness. I have read that other users have used the Metra 99-5807 dash kit but i can't find this product anywhere on the Crutchfield site or metra.com? Can anyone provide a link? As for the PAC SWI-X wheel control at www.pac-audio.com , is does not say if it works with the 04, is it the right model? Additionally are their any other wiring harnesses i need? Thanks a lot guys, i know its a lot to ask, but any help from any fellow f-150er that has doe this install would be great help!!!!!

Hi Noahr,
I had mine installed for me so I don't know if I can help you much. I'm looking at my invoices but they didn't list any part numbers.
According to my invoice both the dash kit and the wiring harness were made my Metra.
The SWI-X was made my PAC. I'm not sure if there are different models, nothing is listed on my manual but it has the 04 F-150 listed in the compatibility chart and it's working perfectly in my truck.
My suggestion is to call or email Metra and PAC.

It works pretty good. The biggest adjustment is that it's not instantaneous. This is understandable since it's not directly wired to the head unit, rather it must transmit the signal just as the remote control would.
All you need to do is get used to holding the button down for a second. Other than that, it works great.
