Fitment of the condenser and the pullies will drive you nuts! There are a couple of things you need to decide before you start. Will you use the original heater and defrost with an under the dash (hanging) AC unit. Do you plan to use the Ford type compressor. I would use a Sanden compressor, R-134 and a hanging AC unit. I like the 60's look and there are plenty of nice looking hanging units. This setup is the least expensive and easiest to install in the cab. The Sanden compressors are the easiest to mount and least expensive to operate. Ford drive pullies are a royal PITA! If you have a FE motor there is York compressor adapter that uses the Ford bracket and adapter to mount the Sanden compressor. This is the setup I currently have and it really works nice. Mounting the condenser requires shimming the radiator back about an inch and you need to consider fan to radiator clearance when you do this. I bought a shorter fan clutch and used a plastic shroud from a later F100 (76 I believe). The hood release will contact the condenser and will require modification. Several companies will sell you a complete system for about 800 bucks. Good luck and let us know what you decide.

One of the easiest ways to get the parts you need is to find a 302 motor with the brackets and pulleys you need. I understand there are different years of interchangeability on 302s, so get that information first to establish the correct range of years which will be compatible with your '74.
Then, scour the papers and the boneyards for a parts car or parts truck with the complete set of pulleys and brackets, and use those for your truck. It doens't have to run, and can be wrecked - and that's better for you, since you can get it cheaper that way to strip it for everything useable.
Ford had a habit of using the same motor for a variety of applications, but with different bracket and pulley setups depending on what the engine went into. So, get yourself a '73 - '79 parts truck with a 302 and A/C, or a parts car like a Lincoln, T-bid, or whatever, just make sure it is complete, and compatible with your engine and truck setup.
This way, you get a complete setup, and don't have to chase a lot of parts. Or worse, waste a lot of money on an incomplete set.
This is exactly what I did. I found a '76 with PS, PDB, and A/C, with the same motor as my '66. I put the '76 pulleys and brackets on my '66 engine, Used a condensor from a '74 LTD (had to set the radiator back, and make a bracket for it), had a hanging unit from the boneyard, and had all new lines custom made. Works great, and still works geat 20 years later.
Then, I sold the parts off the truck I didn't need, and got a lot of money back.
I'll put the PDB on later.
