2010 F150 - Leer 100 XL or XQ Pictures and Opinions

I just picked up my new truck today and am trying to decide which of the two Leer caps to get.

I have only found 2 pictures online of either cap on a screw. I have a black 6.5 box screw. Pictures of them any any 09 or 10 F150 would be great.

Also any feed back on either cap would be great.

Thanks in Advance

I personally am not too crazy for caps, but I just checked out some images online and I must say that if I had to choose, the XL would be it. That is one sexy cap. I'm searching for a nicely styled tonneau cover for my new F150 which I pick up this Friday (woohoo!) and found that the rear lip makes a tonneau cover look out of place on the new F150. I hope that will not be the case with a cap also. But what is unacceptable to me may be a minor thing to someone else....just my opinion. I'm **** when it comes to styling.

Too funny.... This is what my wife calls them "Old Man caps". I realize they are usually there for necessity and have a purpose. Different strokes and all...

I have an Access cover for a clean look and dry storage; rollsup when larger items must be transported.

Tough crowd I have had SUV's which have been OK but I find the truck with a cap much more versitile. We can have all of our camping gear plus bikes secure if we are travelling or away from the truck but also can take the cap of if carrying larger loads.

Thanks laketrout that was the one I had seen before as well. Good looking truck.

Funny story, I go to my local Leer dealer to talk to him about toopers and as I am leaving he is receiving a load of caps. One of them was a 100XL in the same color as my truck. We talk and he agrees to slide in on my truck so I could take a couple of pictures. At this point I am leaning towards the 100XL. But I would sure like to see a 100XQ on ac 2009 or 2010.

Quick update. I ordered a fully loaded Leer 100XL over the 100XQ mostly because of the style and sealing of the back hatch. I liked the XL detail and sealing better. Here are pictures after getting it installed today.

Wow, that looks really nice. Can I ask what you plan to use the truck for? I don't know if I could justify a bedrug and have always wondered what people's primary use of the truck is when they get a bedrug.

I plan to use it mostly for camping and outdoor adventures with family and my buddies. Bikes, skis, sleds, camping and paddling gear. Likely sleep in it on the odd road trip as well.
I have trailers at work if I have to haul top soil or gravel.

That's a nice setup. I like to do overnight fishing trips. The cap and the bedrug would make it nice and cozy for me, my ice chest and my fly rods.

I have to say, that looks pretty damn sweet. I'm in the market for another F-150 and may need a cap as well to keep all my sports equipment my kids have dry - that cap looks perfect.

How easy is it to remove if needed? How many clamps are there?

Thanks and good luck with it. You have a beautiful truck.

Winnipegf350. It is a tough crowd here, but I have been looking for the same thing. I need a cap for the business I operate. I have a trailer for dirty stuff. Your picks just made my decision a whole lot easier. Great choice.
By the way, I'm 39. Am I an old man?
