I have a '04 FX4 Supercab 5.4 Auto and have a question for all of you out there.
Has anyone had any trouble with shifting their column shifter into park. I have driven many ford trucks and they all seem to shift into park smoothly. My new F-150's shifter gives me resistance sometimes when shifting into park, all other gears shift effortlessly/smooth. It is kind of like it has something blocking it, but it has always gone into park, just with resistance. Almost like it has to roll over something to get into that gear, this happens about half the time. Again, I have driven many full size ford trucks and never experienced this problem. Mainly just annoying. Thanks!
Ring, that's not normal ! get it to the shop before something serious happens. If possible, did you have any mods or repairs recently or before this problem occured? anyway, don't wait!
Syncros or something must be off. Otherwise I guess I do have trouble getting my truck in park. Sometimes I intentionally miss turns so I can keep driving.
I only have 1800 miles on it so maybe I will try your advice and pull it further toward myself when shifting into park. Not that it should have to work in but you never know. Thanks!
