Just a quick survey to see how many of your drive what year. I'm rooting for 1997 to win! If you own more than 1 you can select multiple choices when you vote.
I got hooked on the diesels a few years ago. My first was a 86 cc 6.9 ats turbo bought it cause the body was in great condition. Had a 460 sitting on the engine stand ready to go. Needles to say mileage blew me away. I spun a rod bearing rolled up the sleeves rebuilt it. Ran so good orginal owner saw it asked if he could by it back. Worked out for both of us. I cruised the auction and bought my 97' for $8500.00 in June 03. Good thing that guy never drove a PSD....
Mine is a 2002 that I purchased last August with 90,000 miles on it. Got it bought for 5k less then same PU with 40,000 miles...we will see if I screwed up????? First Diesel PU and I really like it! It's fun to drive and just plain makes you feel good!!!!
Mine is a 2002 with 24,500 miles on it now. Bought it brand new and I love it!! My Dad has always had diesels so I knew that's what I wanted, but this is my first diesel and man - what a truck!! 'Nuff said!
I have a 99.5 I didn't see you list that one there where a lot of chages between the early and late 99's . I love my truck fast fun and still can pull 5 or 6 tons down the road
I have a 200 4x4 crew bought used last month, this is my 3rd diesel but first PS
had a 85 6.2 chey blazer great mileage no poweer and a 92 7.3 with a banks turbo system that did wonders for that truck

Just vote for 1999. I'm more interested in model year, not engine differences.
I don't under stand why we aren't kick all the other years butts we have almost 2 years of production in our year
I don't know this to be a fact, but it might be that a lot of people were leary of a brand new design, and all the kinks that might need to be ironed out, so they waited a little longer to buy, or bought something else.
Considering the problems Ford had with the new 6.0 at first, that had to hurt their sales in '03.
Just my opinion.
