Goodbye '99 F250 V10 and hello '04 F350 PSD!!!! I finally made my decision to upgrade my V10 with 180,000km and go diesel. This is what I will be driving in approx. a week:
2004-F350 Lariat-Crewcab-Shortbox-Grey w/ the black bottom
(fully loaded with the exception of reverse sensing aid and power rear slider)
the dealer is doing the following:
undercoating
spray in box liner
Nomad canopy
bug deflector
mud flaps
and putting my existing brake control and grille guard in the new truck
I'm also pulling out my powered bazooka tube and pioneer speakers out of my truck and putting them in the new one!!

Where did you (or will you) be putting the bazooka tube? I have a 2004 350 CC and a 6" powered bazooka, and I really can't locate a place for it that doesn't get in the way of something (or someone). Doesn't seem to be room under the rear seat or behind it...
It's a tube that has a speaker in one end and a built in powered amplifier, it adds "bass" to your stereo. Same thing as a "sub-woofer" for your home stereo but this is a tube
The tube in my '99 is behind the rear seat so I was hoping it would be the same on the '04!
I haven't tried putting it (my 6") in yet, but behind the seat looks very limited on the 2004. At the very least, the tray holding the jack stuff will have to be removed. It would be nice if the seat could be moved forward a few inches. Keep us informed if you managed to fit in in back there.
Did you (on your 99) tap off the rear speaker leads for signal, or did you run line level from the front to the back? I don't know what path the speaker wires take yet, guess I need to do some minor disassembly to see what possibilites exist.

I'm not sure, I had a stereo place install it since I suck at electrical..cheaper if they installed it compared to me wrecking something. They did build a box for the tube to sit on because of the jack on the passenger side (right hand) corner!
