So, I'm at a loss. Hopefully one of you Bronco gurus out there can give me some help. Basically my '87 Bronco 302 won't start from the key. It will start right up if I turn the key to run and jump the starter solenoid, but when I turn the key, nothing. I have replaced the solenoid and the starter switch. I'm not sure where to go from here. What are the odds that I got a bad solenoid from Advance Auto Parts? I would't think very high, but I'm not sure what else to try.
I have been starting it by jumping the solenoid for a few weeks now, and I would like to get it fixed soon. Thanks in advance for any and all help.
It seems to me that if you bypass the selenoid and it starts that is the problem right?(please don't listen to me for advice,I don't know what I am doing)I am just thinking out loud for all to hear.it is always possible to get a defective part, just not probable.
