Do you know what Ford's usual M.O. for summer programs is? That is, is it more likely that they improve or get worse? (I'm specifically looking at 2005 Escapes, which have 3.9% financing for 60 months right now.)
Their M.O. is this: whatever you THINK they'll do, they do the opposite. Trying to accurately predict future incentives is like trying to guess the EXACT price of Ford stock 2 weeks from today. Generally speaking, incentives tend to go up as we go through the year. BUT: your selection goes down as rebate goes up. Is it worth an extra $500 in rebate if you have to settle for the wrong model, wrong color, and wrong equipment? I don't understand why people get so wrapped up in these incentives, only to wind up buying the wrong vehicle because of all the hype. The sweetness of a low price is quickly forgotten, but the sour taste left by the wrong decision lasts forever.........
You probably should have mentioned that in your post, because it sounded to me like you were waiting to see what incentives were BEFORE you actually bought anything. I see so many people that kinda "troll" for incentives, only to lose out on the vehicle they really wanted, and settle for 3rd best. Then they're back in here 6 months later, trying to trade in a truck they hate that they're also $3,000 upside-down in.

Didn't think it was really relevant to the question at hand.
