I have a very noticeable herky jerky motion just after topping a hill, just when the engine and the drive train reach the same speed. I have a 1999 F-250 short bed two wheel drive super cab with a power stroke engine. If when it is in one of these stupors you acclerate the herky jerky motion immediately stops. The unit doesnt always do this, and it will do it towing or or empty. I tow a 30 foot 5th wheel travel trailer.
I have 56,000 miles on the truck and have not had A single repair done on it. Frankly I love this truck, I couldnt say enough about it, it gets great milage, uses no oil, and is extremely quite inside, and its not foe sale..
Do you have a manual transmission? The only thing I could think of is that the engine cant take the weight, do the RPMs drop before the jerking starts? If so you have a common problem of being in too high a gear.
If that isn't the case, I have no clue what could be happening to your pick-up.
