Bremen is on the right track. If you want to have a money pit and still not go fast, put it in a bronco. If you want to go fast buy a mustang and put the money in that.
Broncos are great for a lot of things, but racing ain't one of 'em.
Thank you. I wanted to say it but didn't want to be jerk. Broncos aren't built to race honduhs...they're built to run them over like in a monster truck rally.

If someone has the money and wants a 13 second Bronco there is no reason a Bronco wont race Hondas, true their made for off roading, but if this guy wants to build something to street race, theres no reason it cant be done. Yes, a 13 second Bronco could be built with a small block...
I have a video of a Bronco running around a 12 sec quarter and someone on here put the link up a while ago and that is where I got it. I don't remember the web site but I will try to find it.
I never got the chance to get s time slip on my Bronco, but it was probably in the high 13's, and you could still wheel with it too. You can have your cake and eat it too!
94F150-408 i agree with u"You can have your cake and eat it too!" i dont go out of my way to challenge a sports car. its just its just a good feeling to no that you could smoke em. with a 4x4 kameronth yes i think i have seen that vid that guys name is pat it was like a 79 4x4 bronco and he was runing mid 12's crazy hu. those deisels are insane

I'm sure it's possible to make a 13 second bronco, but why
My original point was that if you put all the work and money required to make a bronco go in the 12-13 range into a mustang instead, you'd have a 10 second car or better.
Why??? cuz you want a 12-13 second Bronco, thats why! Theres already plenty of 13 second Mustangs! Its always more fun to have the unexpected fast sleeper truck than the usual hopped up cars. I've had several sleeper fast vehicles over the years and dont regret a one of them.
True, Broncos are great for a lot of things...and racing IS one of them!!
Race your buddies CRX off-road hill climb or something. If you wanna go that fast on the street with a bronco get a second and third job.
NEXT TIME HE'S NOT LOOKIN RUN OVER THE TOP OF HIS CRX!!!!
GO EASY. WHAT NICK SAID ,
"Its always more fun to have the unexpected fast sleeper truck " great point i think it is much more impressive to see a 6000lb truck run 13,s or so, than like a stang or sports car lol check out these crate engines, i talked to the owner guy and he said he will build me any engine i whant like a 351w stroker if i whanted, real nice guy. http://www.proformanceunlimited.com/fordtrucks.html
As you all know (still...) I'm considering an engine swap. Even though I don't race the 1/4 mile, I like to outperform little sporty cars and other trucks from time to time. I once beat a late model Range Rover 4.6 V-8 going up a steep hill road with my I-300 Bronco (A/T 2WD). Last time I went to my farm I was able to pass on a 20° slope road all cars on my way back home. Of course the engine took a beating, was over rpmed and tended to overheat. Still I'm not satisfied. What I did in those situations was with the throttle stuck to the floor, thus gas ran out pretty quick.
On the other hand, I think you should all be aware of the fact that in my city (Bogota, Colombia) and country-wide, I believe, the fastest quarter mile setup is an early 1950's Chevy pickup equipped with a 500cid engine. Will you let this pass?...! it's time for Ford Trucks to kick a....! so you know what to do... ha ha...!
Dude. Trucks are made to be trucks. Cars are made to be cars. a 5000 lb vehicle is obviously not made to be fast. You can make it a torque monster and cruise around in it, but a bronco is a truck. Did you see Project Crazy Horse on TRUCKS? That thing was an amazing rig, and stacey even said if you want a rig with 4wd that acts like a muscle car, do one up.
So if your truck is 4wd or not, a bronco will always be a bronco.
