I'm just curious on how the people with the vibration are diong with Ford? Has ford found the fix or is it still a guessing game? I'm not looking to start any flaming or anything, I own a Ford I'm just curious and hopeful that they found a fix for you guys.
2 sets of tires and rims(at my cost) and 1 expensive road force balance. Now waiting for another set of rims and tires from dude on ebay and will put back in the shop for the fifth time. Just want to mention that ford told me personally that they have to stand behind the dealer and not the customer. I will never forget that!!!!
MIne will be going back again for the 6th time since January in a few days. This time they're gonna try a new set of tires. I can't see how a set of tires is gonna change much since the vibration changes with the amount of load put on the drivetrain.
wow seems as if ford isn't being very much help, espically for you clemensd, your using your own money to troubleshoot this problem. Hope everythign works out for you guys.
I've still got the vibes, nearing 4000 miles, two sets of tires, three road force balances, new steering rack, new driveshaft.
In fact, the vibes continue to get worse. A recent 400 mile road trip was an agony to endure, the truck shaking at any speed above 20 mph.
I read this and three other Ford bulletin boards. Unless the same folks are posting here and on other boards under a different alias, then there are numerous instances of problems across the country.
It seems that Ford is 'troubleshooting by replacement'; that is, lacking sufficient knowledge of the problem, try this, try this, try this.
Unfortunately for many of us, none of Ford's efforts seem to have the proper affect.
well I can say that the reason ford wont do anything with these tires that I currently am running is because they are not stock(305/50/20). Althought they really look nice they will have to go till this problem is resolved. So I thought that I had bad rims so I went for new better ones thinking that this would solve the problem. This will be the last set I will have to buy because now it will be on ford.
Mine shakes at 55-60 MPH......bed and steering wheel. SUCKS!
I could of got a BMW or Lexus and had the smoothest ride! This is my first ford I have ever had. Still enjoy it....but wish it did not shake and vibrate.
